Friday Night Cocktail Ideas

cocktail idea

I am a devout cocktail lover. Why settle for a glass of wine when you can opt for a pretty creation. A bellini or two on a Friday night never hurt anyone but as much as I love to visit Melbourne’s array of rooftop bars sometimes it can be a little fun to have some DIY cocktails.

And how fitting that Diva’s beverages have collaborated with the Wu-Tang Clan to bring us cocktail lovers some locally produced brilliance to add to our cocktails.

The Wu Tang Clan have been generous enough to share two of their favourite recipes with me.

Firstly, we have the Coral Reef. The perfect blend of lemon citrus goodness and a hint of lemonade as a base. And its blue!

Coral Reef
30ml Wu Tang Clan Original Premium Liqueur
5 ml Limoncello Liqueur
5ml Glades Blue Citrus Liqueur
150ml Lemonade

Pour Wu Tang Clan Original into a champagne flute, add Limoncello and Glades Blue Citrus, top up with lemonade, and serve. Garnish with a slice of lemon.

Next and I think this one is my favourite we have the Strawberry & Lime Margarita. It reminds me of my time spent in Florence last year because we would always find ourselves at this gorgeous bar called Moyo sipping on our frozen strawberry margaritas.

Strawberry & Lime Margarita
30ml Wu Tang Clan Strawberry & Lime Premium Liqueur
30ml Glades Orange Liqueur
30ml Tequila
30ml Lime juice
30ml Lemon juice

Pour all ingredients over finely shaven ice in a margarita glass, and serve. Garnish with a slice of orange.

My routine drink for when I have guests over is usually a fruit punch with some vodka, Malibu, pineapple juice, orange juice and a hell lot of tropical fruits however these recipes give my punch a run for its money.

To purchase the Wu Tang Clan Liqueurs visit their website alternatively you can purchase the range at Dan Murphy’s and they are only $14.99 a bottle.
